The church determines the destiny of the nation
For many are called, but few chosen. (Matthew 22:14)
There are others who are also called for the same task of leadership. It is not only Bro. Eddie Villanueva who's been called by the Lord for the big task of leading our country. Among the different religious groups and in the politcal groups in the secular sector, there are also leaders whose hearts the Lord has stirred up to respond to the call of the same leadership. Now, who then shall be the one to stand as the head among the others? This is a big test of unity. How can the next set of leaders unite a deeply divided people if their leadership cannot even gather together and unite called-out and stirred-up hearts?
To those who are called, they must learn to discern what is the role that each of them should carry. A house divided cannot stand, thus, they must learn to unite their individual strengths and be as one mind and purpose, lest they all will fall. They all must join together as one so that a complete body may be formed with each individual parts fitting in their respective proper places.
The coming 2010 election is a multi-front battle and it requires the highest possible level of cooperation among many participating bodies of society. So many of those being called by the Lord may not fully understand that their role may not be to win the race but to face the battlefront of all sorts of election dishonesty by doing agressive vigilance against election cheatings and frauds and following fair and honest election practices and procedures. Dishonesty may be a strong contaminant to an election, but honesty is a much more stronger disinfectant.
