Good, bad, worse

In the first three years of president Duterte's administration, lots of things have  happened -- many are good, some are bad, and a few are seriously bad.

Wake up, David!

OMG! What kind of leadership that our country is having now?! Citizens are being threatened by its own leader! And people seem afraid of the scare tactics of their own president!

China warns PDu30. In turn PDu30 warns, scares, and threatens the Filipino people! Who really is this "D-GONG". Is he China's sounding gong? China is now effectively controlling and manipulating our country through their "D-Gong"! Haven't we realized it yet mga kababayan?!

Our real adversary is the mighty giant China and their way of manipulating and controlling our country is through no less than the highest power and authority of the land, our PDu30 who is their "D-Gong"!

Lord God, please help our country. Awaken the David spirit in our people. Strengthen the David spirit in us and help us so that we will prevail against the [godless pagant] giant our country (who is called by Your name) is facing.

Lord God, please show us the right way to take.

Kababayans, pray. And pray even more; for these days are days of great shaking!

When the "all mighty" speaks

This is what happens when a narcissistic leader, whose preference is his own will, is lent power. One arrogant opinion from him could reduce a collective wisdom of the framers of the Constitution into something "thoughtless and senseless." And his die-hard supporters love every bit of it. Politically, that is usual and comprehensible.

But what is so depressing and draining is that even some of his wise and honest-to-goodness advisers and those well-meaning supporters with high level of constitutional expertise have no say about it as if they are simply nodding silently and helplessly in bitter agreement while forcefully quieting their own conscience and painfully contradicting their own wisdom.

PDu30 disregards our Constitution by acting like a top Chinese apologist. And he dishonors our country by his very unpatriotic statement against our Constitution and in effect acting as if he himself is lawyering for the Chinese!

It is now quite obvious that PDu30 is beholden to the Chinese leadership for reasons other than what could be to the primary interest and most beneficial to our country and our people.

He has three more years, so... just let it be?

God help us.

On the Recto Bank incident

A leader's constitutionally mandated responsibilities and obligations towards its citizens should be a prevailing bias over any other biases. That is why in dealing with matters of inter-state issues and concerns, world leaders at times need to employ some essence of diplomacy and a measure of diplomatic actions. Basically, in some way, dilpomacy is a means by which leaders can assert ("fight" for) their people's rights without going to war.

Thus, the Philippines has a responsibilty and obligation to assert the rights of its affected people as personified by the 22 filipino fishermen's perilous plight involving a Chinese vessel in the West Philippine Sea.

PDu30 is not forever. Alliances are subjective. So while the international community is still on the Philippine side on this issue, our country is still on a better footing to use proper and appropriate diplomatic tools to correctly address and handle this issue... before everything becomes too late.

------------
Intentional or not, a mistake committed must have accountabilty. Otherwise, the growing generations will trust impunity more than responsibility.

Keep on with the journey

Whichever direction you prefer to take, whatever path you choose to go, along the roads are signs that can help you navigate through your journey's challenges.

But when at some points of your journey, when the routes you have taken or are taking may have led you to unexpected difficult situations, don't fear and lose courage. Rather, pray so that you'll strengthen your hope with the confidence in firmly believing that He who initiated you into your life's journey will carry you through to completion.

Have faith; for the One who carved the paths of the rivers through soild rocks and mountains can make a way for you even when there seems to be no way.
